OMG, a very different breed of cats to herd

 Sparring partners in 2017 to get fighting fit for US market entry, Team FKA and Team KPMG now are battling it out on the race track in 2019. Thanks to Sharon Stewart and her Love My New Zealand and Archibald & Shorter, the two teams will race each other by points in the new all electric ⚡️  Jaguar i-Pace series. 

Entry is open to FKAngels, KPMG staff and everyone else who is passionate about the NZ Startup Ecosystem. The race manager will balance the drivers across both teams.

The winners will be notified on Monday, 1 December 2019. Proceeds will go to the NZ Sailing Trust and video production.

The event including food and drink has an indicative value of $300 per person. Attendance is FREE to all Angels, wannabe Angels and otherwise Angelic participants in the Kiwi startup ecosystem.

This event is for all angel investors, VCs and fund managers around New Zealand who want to learn more first hand about transport innovation. There are a lot of interesting companies already operating in New Zealand, many of them centred around Auckland. 
Techweek19 makes for a great opportunity to take a closer look! Lime and FKA are teaming up to kick off this initiative. It will involve 50 investors visiting various companies in the Wynyard/Britomart vicinity to learn about transport innovation. In between places the investors will e-scooter 🛴Companies that are located further afield will most likely present at a suitable venue in the area. 
Each company stop would be for approximately 30 minutes to give time for a presentation and subsequent Q&A.

​If not all 50 investors report for the start of the event we will backfill with startup founders to give them an opportunity to mix with investors.

Ian has backed all 16 startups, next up backing 15, Chris, Heath, Josh and Rudi. FileInvite has 44 nominee investors,  Wherewolf 40, Moxion 39, and the average is 27 investors per startup. Cornelius had a founder exit, has still to shout "FKA".
We want to celebrate the end of 2018 with all who helped make it a great year for Kiwi startups. We helped many with advice and connection, some with funding.

Managing partner Cindy Padnos at Illuminate Ventures and tweeter @IlluminateVC set out to illuminate gender differences in entrepreneurship. She has done exactly that and presents some illuminating findings with her paper.

Turns out, men and women startup founders have similar entrepreneurial motivations BUT they differ in their beliefs about what barriers to success they face.
