Lead Investor or Syndication

FKA acts as lead investor for a startup as follows.

• ​One FKAngel acts as Champion and brings the startup to pitch night.
• In the days after the pitch an electronic DD Vote decides if the group proceeds.
• With 50%+ support from the DD Vote the Champion assembles a DD team and kicks off DD.
• A positive DD Report is peer reviewed before it is submitted to the Investment Vote which again requires 50%+ support.
• A $85k lump sum  is released from the Voting Fund and further commitments are sought from FKAngels and other Wholesale Investors by Co-investment Call.
• The Champion actively helps to close the round by sharing the DD Report with further potential co-investors.

Notes:

1. The Champion has untaken a first level validation and has genuine investment interest subject to full DD.
   
2. The electronic DD Vote consists of i) pitch video supplied by the company, ii) intro by the Champion, iii) vote and feedback section.
   
3. The electronic Investment Vote consists of the full DD Report and vote and additional commitment section.

FKA deals with inbound syndication as follows.

• ​One FKAngel acts as champion and brings the startup to pitch night provided the champion has or can obtain an adequate DD Report from the Lead Investor.
• When and if the DD Report becomes available it is circulated as a Co-investment Call to FKAngels and other Wholesale Investors.​​

Notes:

1. An IM (Investment Memorandum) is issued by the company and is not substitute for a DD Report prepared by an investor.
2. The Champion may or may not personally participate in the DD of the Lead Investor.
