From PitchBooks's ETI report. Q2 deal value down significantly, down 39% from Q1’s $8.3b, down 52% from Q4’s all-time peak of $10.6b. Web3/DeFi tops deal value, fintech falls: For the fourth consecutive quarter, Web3 & DeFi was the largest area of ETI investment. Fintech saw one of its weakest quarters.

We had a great pitch night on Tuesday and will be able to share the recordings soon. Thank you to KPMG for hosting. Great updates from Spoke, Chnnl & Kara!

On Tuesday, also a great talk on SaaS accounting from Julian.

We like him, we like querky but it seems that the accounting prefession likes him too. He was recently awarded the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand Fellowship. "I'm a Chinese and we fricking love money" is just one quote from his acceptance speech.

Angel investing doesn't stop after the 1st cheque. Engaged investor reps are good for companies and investors, Phil being a very fine example. FKA investors have stepped up in a rights issue this week. $1m committed will help to make up for other shareholders.
