  • Tue 18:30  Pitch Night #030 KPMG Auckland
  • Thu 4-6pm  ADI.Clinic Auckland
  • Fri 07:30  AUT Venture Series, Auckland
Pitch Night #030 ◇  Tue 23 May, 18:30 @ KPMG, 18 Viaduct Ave, AKL
  • A First at FKA: Transfercar will pitch and James being a true champion has already shoulder tapped a bunch of FKAngles to help with DD. He reckons he'll also bring the finished report!
  • Trixie liked her recent ADI.Clinic and we liked her frozen cocktails. She is looking for a business partner and will bring her swips to loosen everyone's tongue to help with her quest.
1) Moxion DD report finished, voted to be portfolio company #10 by LP1
2) Transfercar pitch and DD report next Tuesday
3) Heliase still ongoing.
4) Hot Lime Labs data room populated, now with help from Matthias Andermatt ex Nelson Angels.
3) Wherewolf progressing well.
The Moxion DD Report was circulated earlier this week and the LPs of LP1 have voted Moxion to be FKA Portfolio Company #10. If you are interested in this round and want to know more just flick an email the champion, Rudi.
Welcome aboard with FKA! David has left his skeletons if any behind in distant Scotland. It remains to be seen if he left Scottish mores behind as well and will celebrate his passing of the VETO Gate in wet fashion.
Never mind 11, here just 1 good reason!

AUT Ventures Series ◉ 7:30am until 10.00am
WA Conference Centre, AUT City Campus, 55 Wellesley Street  ☞  RSVP here
Health innovations + Bill Reichert, angel investor and MD at Garage Technology Ventures, Silicon Valley. Bill is curious about FKA and wants to talk with us. What did you tell him, Campbell?

Here some advice from Nikki for Tim and Josh.
If you live in Auckland and have an old PC that's still going and going spare then [email protected] from KAMI would love to hear from you. Still bootstrapping!
Innovations Capital Event on 15 June during Fieldays, invitation only and bringing together 200+ investors with 50+ innovative exhibitors. Enterprise Angels invite all FKAngels. Please register for a free full 1-day pass to Fieldays (15th only), VIP parking, and entrance to the capital event, including drinks and nibbles.
Let FKApprentice [email protected] know if you're going and we might be able to organise carpooling or a minibus.
Balex Marine R.I.P.
Enterprise Angels left terra firma to back this marine business. Last year more support from Snowball. With no champion in FKA, we declined.
Now, the receivers are making money.

EA DD Workshops

These will focus on key findings including red flags and the approach taken to mitigate these concerns where relevant. This will be an interactive session with experts in specific industries on hand to provide detailed insights.
12-2pm, Thursday 25 May, BNZ Partners, Tauranga - register
12-2pm, Friday 26 May, Crowe Howarth, Hamilton - register
Murray Denyer (Cooney Lees Morgan) , Graham Gaylard (NetValue), David Macaskill (James & Wells), Katherine Sandford, Alan Dick, Mark Fergus (KPMG), Waruna Karunaratne (Crowe Horwath) are all experts in their fields who (among others) will be on hand to analyse and provide feedback on the case studies.
Borat has put Kazakstan on the map. Now Sergei Belan from the other middle earth has written FKA with his FLYING DISK. "I KNOW HOW and I able to assemble a manned vehicle about 7-8 m in diameter (up to 4 passengers). And I suggest you collect in your country the world's first manned flying disk."
Who would have thought that our name would attract first flying cars and now flying disks?
We had ADI.Clinic only in Auckland this week. One interesting discussion was around an idea that couldn't be fully disclosed. To do with the health issues around barrister made coffee. We failed at the first hurdle, couldn't agree whether there is a problem and if people care to pay to have it fixed.

BIG thank you to the following  mentors: Garth Hinton, Karl von Randow, Rudi Bublitz and Tim Gelston. Especially, GARTH who stayed until the bitter end at 6 pm, as the others rushed off early to the IA pitch night to support UPROAR. CEO Charlie delivered a much-improved pitch.
